MAKO DC is an indie/Alt rock outfit from Ireland & France, formed by Declan O'Shea and Christian Montagne.

Before launching MAKO DC  the two were members of the acclaimed band Cyclefly. In Cyclefly they released two album under Radioactive/MCA/Universal Label, they toured Ireland, the UK, USA, and Europe extensively sharing the stage with groups like Linkin Park, Bush, Live, Iggy Pop etc as well as their own headline tours and countless major festivals. After the end of Cyclefly, they regrouped and formed MAKO DC.

The new group quickly grabbed the attention of fans and critics alike, even earning recognition from The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences who placed Mako on the Official Ballot for the 2011 Grammy Awards in four separate categories for their debut album
“Living On Air" 

MAKO DC retains the edgy alt-rock sound that gathered so many fans for Cyclefly, yet it has a mellow maturity reflecting pair’s growth as songwriters and as musicians. The kind of development and maturity that only comes from experience, raw talent, and hard work. All of these traits are on full display on the new  AKADEMIA AWARD-winning single and Dermot&Dave Today FM Homegrown Hero's of the week "WORLD SET ALIGHT" which is out now.

After returning from a successful tour in South America Mako DC set about writing and recording their second studio album TIMELESS which can be streamed for FREE or bought at our store HERE. Before its general release on all digital platform  on the 5th may 2021.

MAKO DC are now booking acoustic gig  Nationwide.. join by kieran O'Neill on drum and Lawrence Sweeney on Bass  the band are playing songs from their first and second Album.
